Weltrend Announces Appointments of Senior Executives

| Hsinchu, Taiwan, November 8, 2023 – Weltrend Semiconductor (TWSE: 2436) today held a Board of Directors meeting and passed the appointments of DS Lin as the new President. |
| As the President, DS will manage and be responsible for the Company’s overall operations including marketing, business development, application engineering, R&D, product operations, and etc. |
| DS joined Weltrend in 2000 and managed the Company’s business development activities which he served as the Senior Vice President of Business Development since 2017. Including the 8 years of work experience at Jinjet Technology, which was acquired by Weltrend, DS has close to 31 years of work experience at Weltrend. |
| DS Lin holds a master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University and a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Chung Yuan Christian University. He has 36 years of semiconductor industry experience. |
| To comply with corporate governance policies by the competent authority, Sam Lin, the Chairman of the Board, will no longer hold the CEO position and is appointed as the Chief Investment Officer while Tony Lin, the current President, is appointed as the CEO in assisting the Chairman in overseeing the Company’s overall operations. |
