Weltrend Reports Second Quarter EPS of NT$0.87

Hsinchu, Taiwan, August 5, 2020 – Weltrend Semiconductor (TWSE: 2436) today announced financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2020 with consolidated revenue of NT$ 667.1 million, net income of NT$ 154.74 million, and diluted earnings per share of NT$0.87.

Year-over-year, second quarter revenue increased 13.7%, net income increased 243.9%, while diluted EPS increased 248%. Compare to first quarter 2020, revenue increased 40.5%, net income increased 218.6%, and diluted EPS increased 219.2%. All figures were prepared in accordance with TIFRS on a consolidated basis.

Gross margin for the quarter was 26%, operating margin was 7%, and net profit margin was 23%.
