半導體製造商ROHM的名稱是因為公司創業初期以生產電阻為主，以電阻(Resistor)的頭文字「R」加上電阻單位「OHM 歐姆（Ω）」所組合而成。同時，「R」亦代表「Reliability (可靠性)」、彰顯ROHM「以品質為第一」的公司政策。
