STL7100
The STL7100 is a BLDC controller that features integrated power MOSFET and a hall sensor. It can provide a driving current of up to 1.2A and operates reliably within a working voltage range of 3V to 18V. The STL7100 supports direct PWM input, eliminating the need for a PWM to DC conversion circuit and consequently reducing the count of external components. Its user-friendly programming interface allows adjustment of fan curve settings. The device offers adjustable PWM output frequencies to support single-phase full-wave driving. Incorporating a soft-start feature with programmable incremental duty cycle, the STL7100 effectively smoothens the power-up spike on the coil current, reducing start-up noise, and alleviating power budget concerns. Additionally, its built-in soft switch function minimizes audible noise and power loss. The device also integrates a current limiting function utilizing internal reference voltages. Furthermore, the STL7100 includes a thermal shutdown function to safeguard against overheating. It supports lock detection and automatically halts output current. Upon relaxation of the external load, it seamlessly reverts to the previous speed. The STL7100 provides indications of rotating speed through an open-drain output FG signal.
